Continuing our series of stand-up comedy act making their way to Rochester, Reel Talk co-host Char Broome held it down while Tunya Griffin was attending an event in the ‘City of Angels,’ Los Angeles. Char B had a chat with comedians Kim Whitley and Melanie Comarcho. Kim was nominated for a BET Comedy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Box Office Movie for her role as Ormandy in the 2003 comedy film Deliver Us From Eva starring LL Cool J and Gabrielle Union. She is best known for her role in the TV sitcom, The Parkers. Mel’s résumé dates back 25 years to the early days of ‘Def Comedy Jam,’ and she has since appeared in a number of movies, including First Sunday (2008), Hair Show (2004),\ Christmas in Compton (2012), and Boosters (2017), which she wrote and directed.
