On May 6, Netflix has set its latest documentary project – a film about the former First Lady on a nationwide memoir to Becoming, which is directed by Nadia Hallgren, will walk viewers behind the scenes as Michelle Obama travels to 34 cities on her book tour – And Black Women Voices (BWV) is here for it all. The book Becoming was published in 2018 by Crown and it became the biggest seller and a huge success.

If this isn’t Black Girl Magic, then I don’t know what is!

The film is directed by Nadia Hallgren, a filmmaker, and cinematographer from the Bronx. (I need a girl with extensions  in her hair, bamboo earrings at least three pair)… Okay, I went, LL. Cool J. – New York City vibe on you – but it’s all apart of Michelle’s swag as a Black girl from the Southside of Chicago. Michelle Obama’s Mission is to Educate Girls Around the World as well as Motherland, a detailed depiction of Manila maternity ward with director Ramona Diaz.
