The latest installment in our mini-series on stand-up comedy performances sponsored by Talent Harris, the driving force behind the New York Kings of Comedy, features Guy Torry, who is performing locally at It’s Just Comedy Club.
Guy attended Southeast Missouri State University, the same school as fellow comedian Cedric The Entertainer, before venturing to Hollywood, where he landed roles in numerous films and TV shows, including Runaway Jury (with Dustin Hoffman, Gene Hackman, John Cusack, Rachel Weisz), Don’t Say a Word (starring Michael Douglas), and an episode of The X Files, making an appearance on on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno along the way.
Besides being a natural funny man who entertains the masses, Guy is also well known for giving back by donating time, money and resources to various charitable causes. His is the latest high-profile comedy act to find its way to the city of Rochester.
