
Girls have a tendency to test limits, push boundaries and see the world around them through inquisitive eyes. In an effort to boost interest in scientific and technical education and careers, STEM-a-palooza, a one-day event where Girl Scouts of all ages participate in hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) activities led by predominantly female (but also male) role models. GirlChat is a partnering with the scouts to help girls within the context of leadership and
engaging them through cooperative learning-by-doing, allowing them to have fun while exploring exciting STEM fields.
Support GirlChat and make a positive contribution to girls’ future by attending or volunteering at the event to help show these young ladies that there are no limits to what they can accomplish or achieve. STEM professionals in any field can volunteers and can create their own STEM activities or we can help them come up with ideas and provide resource materials.
The event will be held on Saturday, April 16, 216, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Al Sigl Center, 1000 Elmwood Avenue in Rochester, New York.
